Hello and thank you for taking the time to find out more about me! I’m Ellie and I live on Tresco (where I grew up) with my partner Sam and our two children Jude (3) and Etta (1). I’m currently juggling family life with freelance photography and design work as well as producing the products I am selling here and working part time in accounts - life is very full at the moment, but I like to be busy! As a child in the nineties I could often be found carrying a disposable camera and enthusiastically documenting my day, whether I was at home on Scilly, or further afield. By the time I was a teenager, my parents had equipped me with my first proper bit of kit, a Vivitar, just in time for me to embark on a school skiing trip. Unfortunately, I managed to lose the camera on the way home… Undeterred by my early misfortune I was eventually able to fund a replacement and fuelled by my beautiful Scillonian surroundings my love for photography grew and grew. In early 2020, heavily pregnant and negotiating the strangeness of a world growing more unrecognisable by the day, I put my feelers out on social media to see if anyone would be interested in buying a calendar - both a passion project and an insurance policy in an uncertain time financially. I was overwhelmed by the positive response and by the summer I was selling calendars, notecards and wooden postcards and my little business was born.
